Doggone it! |
|
Dear Dr. Baum --
Our pit-bull mix breed dog recently had an injury to her tail (about
2 inches broke off after being caught in a door). It has been
recommended to amputate all or part of her tail. Is this necessary?
Is there a non-surgical method of helping her tail heal?
Thank you,
Scott, Culver City, CA
Dear Scott --
If her
tail "broke off" there is no other option but to surgically repair
the open end.
Good luck,
Dr. Baum
